1: By Flight from Chennai / Kolkata / Bangaluru / Delhi / Hyderabad, Major airlines operates like Indigo / Akasa / Air India and Spice Jet // Approx time for travel is 2 Hrs // Airline code is IXZ.

2: Government local passenger ships from Chennai / Kolkata and Visakapatnam // Approx time for travel is 60 Hrs.

Note: Best mode is flight, as its mostly on time and tickets can be booked far in advance.

Local Transport

1: Auto Rikshaw / Tuk Tuk (Very Easily Available during day and night time only).

2: Bicycles (Local Types) // Easily available at Main Market only.

3: Two wheeler, Motor Bikes and non gear scooter models

4: Local state transports // Mostly connecting inner village and some tourist spots too.

Note: Its very difficult to get transports assistance during night hours for distance hotels.. so please be prearranged. (Specially if stay at Sea Princess / Symphony Samudra etc)

Port Blair is the Transit Hub:

1: For Havelock Island, Port Blair is the hub as Airport is only available here.. one need get transfer to harbour and board the cruise to Havelock, same goes for return also.

2: For Neil Island also Port Blair is the transit point, cruise and local Govt ferry are available from Port Blair harbours.

3: For Diglipur, Port Blair is connected by road approx 310 Kms.. 

4: For Baratang Island: Port Blair to Baratang is approx 110 Kms..// Baratang is famous for Lime stone cave and Parrot Island.

5: Other Islands, mandatory connected to Port Blair is Ross Island, Jolly Buoy, Cinque, North-bay etc.

6: For Going to the south of Andaman, the North has to connect from Port Blair, as the ships are available from Port Blair only.
